Eye of the Beholder
Jason Bouchard has recently relocated to Muskoka. Born and raised in Burlington, Ontario he spent the last 25 years as a custom renovation contractor. In 2017, he gave up renovations to pursue his lifelong love of art.
Nature, wildlife, travel and photography have had a huge influence on Jason’s creations. A self taught sculptor and painter, he has focused primarily on endangered and threatened species while incorporating natural elements and recycled goods into his work. A concern for the environment and habitat loss has given his work purpose. A percentage of all sales are donated back to wildlife rehabilitation and conservation efforts.
With a focus on realism his work is intended to illicit emotion and a connection between the viewer and the subject. His work is part of collections in California, Vancouver, and Ontario.
Always evolving and learning Jason is excited to begin work on a Canadian Wildlife series at his home studio in Gravenhurst.
